1.
Loss is temporary until it’s found. Except when burnt to ash. Memories fade in failing minds. Generations left in the past. There is no justice for lives lost. Any vengeance yields no return. The most that we can hope for is to forget the pain that we’ve learned. Why would you mislead us when our loss feels like forever? Lies are told to console those who can not endure. We must sacrifice descendants on altars of evolution. We build our own environments but they are not the solution. Nature will not be forgiving and there will be few exceptions. I can’t see a need for living blind by lenses of depression.
2.
Who will be discarded? Who will be rewarded? Who will create profits? Who will pray for prophets? We can shelter the homeless. We can heal our ill. We can feed our hungry. We can impose our will. We can clothe our naked. We can pay you more. We can fund our students. We can end our wars. Who will break their promise? Who will remain honest? Who will do the lying? Who will end up dying? Who will ask for a change? Who will ask for the same? Who will try to barter? Who will be the martyr? How can I convince you anyone should care? We can end suffering; pain no one should bear.
3.
Culpam 04:11
Only one sin, unforgiven. Justice we can’t escape until we die. This will haunt us for the rest of our lives. Retribution: execution. Mistakes we can’t make right until we die. This will haunt us for the rest of our lives.
4.
Somnium 04:27
Ambitions, grown in dust. Never watered, left in shade. Courage left to rust. Creative colors start to fade. Unless you are the exception, wants demand what no one needs. Quit while you’re behind. No one’s listening to our screams. Our screams will drown out the callings of our dreams. Our dreams will be just that, it seems. Look outside the field so you can invest in sure things. No risks with low yields. No one wants to hear us sing about how we wish we made it. Almost no one fully tries. Encouraged then discouraged. No one’s listening to our cries. Our cries will drown us with the tears from our eyes. Our eyes will see us justified.
